The Ministry of Defence Police now operates a small armed policing team every day and night at RAF Welford. You might see us patrolling across the Lambourn Valley and the Vale of the White Horse. West Berkshire Council is committed to encouraging active travel by introducing more walking and cycling opportunities throughout the district.

Work has started to update the Boxford Parish Plan, this will be driven by the Parish Council with the assistance of a committee. If you are interested in being part of the committee please contact the Parish Council Clerk (parishcouncil@boxford.org.uk)
The initial stage is to build the new parishioners questionnaires, we hope to get these out to all households Spring 2021, from this we can then start to review, consult and start to put together the plan.
The 2021 Parish Council meetings will be held on a Tuesday evening in the Heritage Centre if Covid-19 restrictions allow or virtually if not. Parishioners are still welcome to attend the virtual meetings, please just contact the clerk (parishcouncil@boxford.org.uk) for log in details.
The meetings are scheduled as follows: 5th January, 2nd March, 4th May – Annual General Meeting, 6th July, 7th September and 2nd November.

Please be aware that the Boxford children’s playground remains closed. The Village Hall Committee are waiting for some necessary repairs to be carried out before this can be re-opened, these have unfortunately been delayed due to COVID-19. Sadly they expect the playground to remain closed throughout July and August, but will post updates as soon as they can.
